Cities Alliance It is a global coalition of cities and their development partners committed to scaling up successful approaches to urban poverty reduction. It brings cities together in dialogue with bilateral and multilateral agencies and financial institutions. Alliance members promote the development role of local governments and help cities obtain international support and provide matching grants in support of city development strategies, citywide slum up gradation and sustainable financing strategies. www.citiesalliance.org 
International City/Country Managers Association (ICMA) It is a professional and education organization for managers, administrators and assistants in cities, towns and countries throughout the world. Its mission is to create excellence in local governance by developing and fostering professional local government management worldwide. It provides technical assistance, training and information to its members and local government community. www.icma.org 
International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) It is an international association of local governments as well as national and regional organizations that have made a commitment to sustainable development. It provides technical consultancy, training, and information services on implementation of sustainable development at local level. www.iclei.org 
City Mayors It is an international think tank on urban affairs made of professionals who work together to promote strong and prosperous cities as well as local governments. It encourages city leaders from across the world to develop innovative solutions to urban problems. www.citymayors.com 
United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) It represents and defends the interests of local governments on the world stage. Its work focuses on increasing role and influence of local governments and its representative organizations in global governance. It supports international cooperation between cities and their associations and facilitates programmes, networks and partnerships to build capacity of local governments. www.cities-localgovernments.com 

Connected Urban Development partner cities are jointly developing innovative approaches in areas of urban sustainability and Information, Communication Technology (ICT).   Partners of the program include CISCO, Clinton Global Initiative and seven cities, namely, Amsterdam , San Francisco , Seoul , Hamburg , Birmingham , Madrid and Lisbon . www.connectedurbandevelopment.org
